Does the SmartTap NFC business card need a subscription?
No. You pay once for the card and every card includes a free platform profile with unlimited updates. SmartTap is planning optional paid business features for teams, but nothing is required to use your card today.
Does it work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. Every iPhone from the XR onwards and every NFC-enabled Android phone reads the card with a tap. The person receiving your details does not need to install an app. A QR code is also printed on the card as a fallback.
What happens if I change jobs or phone numbers?
Log in and edit your profile. The card itself never changes, so you never reprint. Updates are live instantly.
How much does a SmartTap card cost?
Lite and Premium cards are A$39.99, metal and bamboo cards are A$160, and the Custom Branded card with your own logo and artwork is A$79.99. All are one-time prices in AUD with a GST tax invoice, and every card includes a free platform profile.
How long does shipping take within Australia?
Orders are dispatched from Sydney within 1 business day with tracking and free shipping within Australia. Delivery typically takes 2 to 7 business days depending on your location.
What is the card made of and how long does it last?
Choose premium matte PVC (bank-card material, seven colours), metal or eco bamboo. The embedded NTAG chip is rated for roughly 10 years of data retention and over 100,000 writes, so the card will outlast your current job.
Can I add my card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?
Yes. Your SmartTap profile generates an Apple Wallet and Google Wallet pass, so you can share your details from your phone even when the physical card is not on you.

What’s the difference between NFC cards and NFC tags?
Both cards and tags work the same way, but they serve different purposes:

- NFC Smart Tags → Compact and versatile! Stick them to your phone, laptop, or workspace for quick sharing without carrying a card.
Do I need an app to use them?
Nope! NFC technology works seamlessly on most modern smartphones. Just tap the card or tag on a compatible phone, and your details appear instantly.
Can I update my details later?
Yes! You get a secure online dashboard where you can update your information anytime. Whether you change your phone number, email, or business details, just log in to your Account, Profile and your new details will update instantly.
What’s the difference between a Personal and Business account?
Personal Account (Default on all products) → Best for individuals who want to share basic contact details and social profiles.
Business Account → Unlocks additional features like company branding, website links, business info, and customisation options.
How do I upgrade to a Business account?
If you purchased a Personal NFC card or tag but need business features, simply upgrade through your account profile.
